Due to the transfer of your (accrued) pension from Pensioenfonds Staples to Aegon Levensverzekering (a subsidiary of a.s.r.), the payment dates for your pension benefits will change. Aegon will pay your pension monthly on the same day that you receive your state pension (AOW).

Due to the transfer of your (accrued) pension from the Staples Pension Fund to Aegon, the pension increase will change from a conditional increase based on the Dutch price index (CPI derived) to an unconditional increase based on the European price index (Eurozone HICPxT).

On Tuesday, 19 August, an information meeting was held about the transfer of the Staples Pension Fund in liquidation to Aegon Verzekering N.V., a subsidiary of a.s.r. (hereinafter referred to as Aegon). More than 140 participants attended the meeting at the Postillion Hotel in Bunnik.

Since 1 July 2025, your accrued pension has been transferred to Aegon Levensverzekering, a subsidiary of a.s.r.. This means you have a direct pension entitlement with Aegon.

The Staples Pension Fund Annual Report for 2024 has been published, in which the Board accounts for the policy it has implemented and provides details of the financial results.

Good news: Staples Pension Fund Foundation chooses Aegon Life Insurance The Dutch Central Bank has given us the green light to switch to the insurer. Your (accrued) pension will transfer to Aegon Levensverzekering, a subsidiary of a.s.r., in 2025.

In February, we informed you that we had decided to transfer all (accrued) pensions to an insurer. We also reported this decision to De Nederlandsche Bank (DNB). Among other things, DNB assesses whether we have carefully and fairly taken into account the interests of all participants. To demonstrate this, we submitted a comprehensive dossier detailing our choices, justifications, and agreements with the insurer. We are pleased to announce that DNB gave us the green light for this at the beginning of June and that we have chosen an insurer.

Staples Pension Fund's policy funding ratio at the end of May 2025 is 129.0%. It has remained the same compared to the end of March 2025. The funding ratio expresses the relationship between the fund's assets and liabilities. The policy coverage ratio is the average current coverage ratio for the past 12 months.
