Reporting the existence of a joint household

The foundation must be notified by the (former) participant of the existence of a joint household between an unmarried and unregistered participant and an unmarried and unregistered partner. The (former) participant must submit a notarial copy of the cohabitation agreement or a notarial declaration as proof of the existence of the joint household, which proof must contain the following

1. the existence of a notarial deed;

2. the date of execution of that deed;

3. the date on which, according to the deed, the common household started.

The joint household must have started before the retirement date.

The date on which the joint household commenced will be deemed to be the date on which the notarial deed has been executed. Notwithstanding the foregoing, the Board shall be entitled to designate as the date on which the joint household commenced the date specified as such in the notarial deed. If the notification of the existence of a joint household is made after the period referred to in the previous paragraph, the joint household shall be deemed to have started on the date on which the notification referred to in the previous paragraph took place.

As mentioned under "notification", it is necessary for the (former) participant to submit a notarised copy of the cohabitation agreement or a notarised declaration to the effect that

1. the existence of a notarial deed;

2. the date of execution of that deed

3. the date on which, according to the deed, the joint household was started. An extract from the population register must also be submitted showing that the (former) participant and the partner were residing at the same address at the time of the notification. The continuation of the common household should be confirmed every three years by the (former) participant or the pensioner to the Foundation by submission of a notarial statement by the (former) participant or the pensioner and his/her partner and of an extract from the population register showing that they were residing at the same address at the time when the statement was issued.
