Partnership

It is important that you inform the pension fund as soon as possible of a (new) partnership, the dissolution of the partnership and the death of your partner.

Reporting the shared household
As (former) participant, unmarried and unregistered with the register,  you have to inform the pension fund about your shared household with an unmarried and unregistered partner. The (former) participant has to prove such a shared household by providing the pension fund with a notarial copy of the cohabitation contract or a notarial deed, containing:

1.         The existing of a notarial deed.

2.         The date on which the deed has been drawn up.

3.         The date on which according to the deed the shared household has started.

Reporting of the shared household should be done within 6 months from the start of participation in Stichting Pensioenfonds Staples. If you are already participating in Stichting Pensioenfonds Staples then please report the shared household within 6 months from the start of the household.

The date on which the notarial deed was drawn up counts as starting date for the shared household. In contravention to this, the Board is competent to regard the date that is stated in the notarial deed of the shared household, as the commencement date of said household. Should you report the existence of the shared household after the deadline mentioned in the aforementioned paragraph, such household is considered to have started on the date on which the report has been referred to in the previous paragraph.

Documents to supply

As stated under “reporting the shared household” it is necessary that the (former) participant proves such a shared household by providing the pension fund with a notarial copy of the cohabitation contract or a notarial deed, containing:

1.         The existing of a notarial deed.

2.         The date on which the deed has been drawn up.

3.         The date on which according to the deed the shared household has started.

Also, a certificate should be produced from the register proving the (former) participant and the partner are living at the same address at the moment of reporting. Every 3 years the continuation of the shared household has to be confirmed by the (former) participant or the retired participant to the Stichting Pensioenfonds Staples submitting the notarial deed of the (former) participant  or retired participant and his/her partner and a certificate from the register, proving that they are living at the same address at the moment of issuance.
