If you become incapacitated for work

If you become incapacitated for work

If you become incapacitated for work for more then 35% before July 1, 2017, you will be entitled to (partial) continuation of your pension accrual without having to continue to pay contributions. Possibly you have a right to a supplementary disability pension. This waiver of contribution for pension accrual and the supplementary disability pension depend on the degree of your disability. It is important that you consider the consequences for your pension if you become incapacitated for work. You do not have to notify us yourself that you have become unfit for work, as we will be informed automatically by the Employment Insurance Agency (UWV).

The grade of continuation of the pension accrual thus depends on the disability percentage that applies to you, determined by the Employee Insurance Schemes Implementing Body, UWV.

This is why the pension is set on the basis of the table below.

Disability Percentage of:

If you receive a disability benefit, the non-contributory continuation ends on the retirement commencement date or earlier if you are less than 15% disabled.
